Sling Data Platform
Manage database and file pipelines with YAML and self-hosted agents
About
Sling Data Platform is a web interface for building and operating data pipelines across databases, warehouses and file storage. Teams define connections and replication jobs, preview source data, and monitor executions from one workspace. Its agents run in the team’s own infrastructure, while the platform coordinates jobs and records their results. Sling supports warehouse loading, database replication, file ingestion and cross-platform migration. It suits data engineers who want a reusable, configuration-driven alternative to maintaining individual transfer scripts. A separate command-line tool can also run jobs without the web platform.
Editor's note
Sling is a practical fit when the team already understands databases and wants control over where pipelines execute. Budget for operating the agent as well as the subscription. Scheduled production jobs need a paid plan, and transaction-log CDC, Git integration and whole-platform self-hosting sit in Advanced.

Frequently asked
- Can Sling run inside our infrastructure?
- Yes. Agents execute jobs on your machines. Advanced also supports hosting the platform privately.
- Can the free plan schedule production jobs?
- No. The included development agent is not used for scheduled jobs. Those require a paid production-agent license.
- Is CLI Pro the same as the platform subscription?
- No. It provides advanced command-line usage without a platform agent. CLI Pro costs $79/month per team; Pro Max costs $149/month and adds transaction-log CDC, schema migration and priority support.
